Rev. Fr. Roy P. George is from Thannithode, Konni in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala, India. He is the fourth son of Mr. P. Geoge and Ponnamma Geoge of Perumala Puthenveedu. He is a member of  St. Antony’s Orthodox chuch at his home town. His theological education was at the orthodox seminary at Kottayam. He was graduated in Divinity from Serampore University.

He was ordained as deacon on May 20, 2000. As a deacon he served as secretary of H. H. Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews II, The Catholicose of the East and The Malankara Metropolitan and H. G. Philipose Mar Eusebius, The Metropolitan of Thumpamon Diocese. He was also served as the secretary of H. G. Mathews Mar Barnabas and H. G. Zachariah Mar Nicholavos, The Metropolitans of American Diocese.

H. G. Philipose Mar Eusebius ordained him as priest on July 20, 2006. He served as the vicars of St. George Orthodox Church, Thekkuthode, Konni, Thumpamon Diocese and St. John’s Indian Orthodox church, Delaware Valley, PA, American Diocese. Now he is the vicar of the St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Church, Maynard, MA, North East American Diocese from February 2009.

His wife is Lini Mathai (D/o Late Mr. Mathai G. and Mrs. Lilly Mathai, Vellamkollil House, Puthusseri Bhagom, Adoor).They have three children, Ruben, Esther and Helany.
